I
am most excited about this section - because I have been really
inspired lately and have been coming up with all sorts of random
little projects. I'll put them into sections as the art 'grows'
but for now they're all sort of jumbled together with descriptions.
So anyways, here's a look at some of my photography, paintings,
collages and doodles. I'll also keep a little journal into this
section to keep you up to date on what I'm currently working on.
I am working on a zine that I'd like to have done soon. I bought
myself a sewing maching just so that I could sew the zine together,
so I am that much closer - just have to get the images scanned and
printed etc. I'll stop being lazy one day... I swear. In the meantime,
check out below for my other stuff I've been doing. Some new pics
(with my new camera) and some 3D art.
My
newest creative *splurge* has come from boredom at work. There's
not a lot I can do there, so I busted out the standard plain white
paper from the fax machine, got myself the scissors and tape - and
off I went - creative 3D designs of stuff. So far, I've mastered
the stereo and record player, as you can see I'm working on the
beer cans, and I've done a Gameboy too. I think they're cute.
 
So on the left is a stereo with a record player, has the plug and
all, and on the right is my unfinished 6 pack of Labatt Blue. (I
prefer Rickards Red, but thought people could relate more to Blue
as it's more, 'Canadian' and widely known.
This is a piece I made called, 'Listen to Your Heart.' Canvas, paint,
and collage.
The
piece on the left was done in photoshop and is untitled (something
to do with moths eating a heart with pessimistic words against love.)
The piece on the right says, 'I Know You've Got Guns, and You Know
How To Use Them.' Was also done in photoshop, I drew the gun, (the
drawn one) then used a pic of the other one...
The
background is newspaper articles from this past Summer's various
shootings.
Collage. . It's a bunch of magazine cut outs and computer parts.
This is a piece I made for my Milty. Called,
'Love Song.' Duh.
This is the first painting I did - for my
Kristopher, of me, her and our cats.
This
is something I was thinking about using for my webpage, cause I
think it's trendy and funny, but instead I call it 'ART'. It's entitled
'TREND'. And was done in photoshop.
 
This
idea was stolen from my bestfriend the photographer, but I wanted
to practice it on my new camera.
I got myself an Exilim 7.2 Casio. Really sexy and sleek, but shit
quality. Don't get it!
These
are pictures that I've taken and I'm proud of. I bought myself a
Canon Powershot S45 last April and don't take it out to do 'photography'
much, but every so often I feel like I get a good shot. That camera
broke fast - and now I've moved on to a Casio Exilim 7.2. I got
it because it was sexy and small - but it actually sucks. I'm hoping
to get a digital SLR in the near future.
